We had a great time delivering a Forest School programme between February and June 2014, for a group of the pre-school children.
They had a fantastic experience discovering nature, building dens, helping the fairies and elves, making music, playing games and lots more!
Rolling logs to make the Forest School circle.
Discovering fairy dew in the hedgerow and then using it to make a bracelet.
What’s in here?
Let’s get this den together…
Helping the fairies by building homes for them.
Elaine, one of the staff from the Pre-school who helped out during the sessions, said this after we fnished the programme,
“ Forest schools gave the children so much more confidence and self-esteem through learning about their natural environment and being hands on. They learnt to co-operate and work as a team, exploring safe boundaries and managing risks. The children especially loved their toasted teacakes and still talk about it now.”
